STTGDC India has announced a partnership with Indian AI cloud startup Neysa to deploy GPU compute infrastructure at its STT Noida 2 facility in Uttar Pradesh, marking a significant step in building out sovereign AI capacity in the country. The deployment will host GPUs powering Neysa's Velocis AI cloud platform, which is designed for both AI training and inference workloads.
The first phase of the deployment is engineered to support up to 9,000 GPUs and is expected to go live around the first quarter of 2027. The companies described the arrangement as the first phase of a multi-year working relationship, reflecting growing demand for resilient and scalable infrastructure capable of handling increasingly complex, compute-intensive workloads.
Bimal Khandelwal, CEO India at STTGDC, framed the collaboration as a critical enabler of India's broader AI ambitions. "India's AI ambitions will depend not only on access to compute, but on the digital infrastructure required to support increasingly complex and compute-intensive workloads at scale," he said. "By bringing together Neysa's specialized AI capabilities and STTGDC's infrastructure expertise, this deployment will help enterprises move from experimentation to real-world applications. It also represents the kind of ecosystem collaboration needed to accelerate AI adoption and strengthen India's position in the global digital economy."
Sharad Sanghi, co-founder and CEO of Neysa, emphasized that customers require more than raw GPU access. "Our customers need more than access to GPUs. They need capacity they can plan around, reliable operations, and room to scale as their workloads evolve," he said. "That is why we plan the compute, platform, and data center infrastructure together. Our planned deployment at STTGDC's Noida data center is one part of that approach, bringing GPU infrastructure and Velocis, our AI Cloud platform, together to support AI workloads in production."
STTGDC first announced plans to develop in Noida in 2021. The Noida 2 facility offers 22MW of capacity, while Noida 1 provides 17MW and Noida 3 is currently under development with a planned 28MW. Across India, STTGDC's division operates and is developing more than 400MW of critical IT load spanning 30 facilities in ten cities.
Neysa, founded in 2023, positions itself as a sovereign cloud player for India and has secured backing from Blackstone, Teachers' Venture Growth, TVS Capital, 360 ONE, and Nexus. In April 2025, the company revealed plans to team up with NTT Data and the Telangana government to establish a 400MW GPU cluster totaling 25,000 GPUs in the country. The partnership with STTGDC underscores the growing momentum behind India's AI infrastructure buildout, as domestic cloud providers and data center operators race to meet enterprise demand for GPU capacity that can be planned around and scaled reliably.
