STT GDC India to Host Neysa's AI Infrastructure at Noida Data Centre with Capacity for 9,000 GPUs

By: IDCNOVARegion: South Asia
STT GDC India, the Indian arm of Singapore-headquartered data centre operator STT GDC, has signed an agreement to host AI cloud provider Neysa's GPU infrastructure and Velocis AI cloud platform at its STT Noida 2 facility in Noida, India, in a move that underscores the rapid buildout of AI-focused computing capacity across South Asia.

The deal comes as demand for high-density AI training and inference workloads surges among Indian enterprises, startups and global customers seeking cost-effective alternatives to traditional hyperscale cloud providers. The first phase of the deployment is designed to support up to 9,000 GPUs, with the infrastructure expected to go live in the first quarter of 2027.

Under the arrangement, STT GDC India will provide the physical data centre environment and power infrastructure required to support Neysa's GPU-dense racks, while Neysa will operate its Velocis AI cloud platform on top of the hosted hardware. The facility is purpose-built to accommodate the high power densities associated with advanced AI accelerators, a critical requirement as GPU generations become increasingly power-hungry.

The partnership reflects a broader trend in which AI cloud specialists are turning to colocation providers to accelerate deployment timelines rather than building their own facilities from scratch. For STT GDC India, the deal adds a marquee AI workload to its Noida campus and strengthens its position in the country's fast-growing data centre market. For Neysa, hosting at an established carrier-neutral facility allows it to focus capital on GPU procurement and platform development while reaching enterprise customers across India and internationally.

The infrastructure is expected to serve Indian enterprises, startups and international customers running AI workloads, positioning the Noida facility as a regional hub for AI compute. The first-quarter 2027 go-live target places the deployment among a wave of AI-focused data centre capacity scheduled to come online across India over the next several quarters.
