Northstar Enterprise + Defense, a subsidiary of Northstar Technologies Group, Inc. (NTGI), is relocating to a new 153,000-square-foot headquarters and production campus in Fort Myers, Florida, a move the company says will significantly expand its manufacturing capacity for secure, energy-efficient modular data centers (MDCs) as demand accelerates across enterprise AI, telecommunications, and defense markets. The new facility is nearly 265% larger than the company's existing plant in Bonita Springs, Florida, and represents a substantial investment in the company's edge AI and modular infrastructure business.
The expansion comes amid what the company describes as industry-leading growth. NTGI, founded in 2020, is forecasting $450 million in recognized revenue for 2026, up from $11.5 million in 2025, with committed sales projected to reach $1.3 billion this year. The company now employs more than 100 people across its operations and continues to hire to support expanding production capacity. The new campus is intended to accelerate speed-to-market and construction of Northstar's complete MDC offerings, which are built on the company's patented fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composite building system made from 100% U.S.-made recyclable glass. The aerospace-grade structural material, adapted for construction at scale, is designed to deliver advantages in strength, durability, security, thermal efficiency, and environmental performance.
"Today's data center demands require a different approach to how infrastructure is designed, built and deployed," said Paul Inglese, Chief Executive Officer of NTGI. "Our MDCs use our advanced composite material to deliver unique benefits over traditional building materials such as concrete and steel. Combined with a modular design, we're able to provide a more adaptable approach to building and scaling critical infrastructure. The record growth we're experiencing reflects the value customers place on this flexibility, high performance, and efficiency, and our new headquarters will enable us to meet the industry's growing demand."
Northstar's MDCs are purpose-engineered for enterprise, telecom, and U.S. defense applications and can be deployed in as little as 90 days. The product line offers enclosures rated for F5 tornadoes and Category 5 hurricanes, advanced insulation and thermal performance, and corrosion-resistant, low-maintenance construction. Helical piling foundations support rapid installation, while IoT-enabled monitoring and predictive maintenance capabilities help customers manage performance throughout the life of a facility. The structures are up to 30% lighter than aluminum equivalents, enabling deployment in locations that are challenging for traditional data center construction, including rooftops and sites without prepared foundations, and are designed for recyclability and net-zero carbon manufacturing to reduce embodied emissions compared with steel or concrete structures.
The company is also advancing its MDC platform through collaborations with industry leaders including Owens Corning, Leidos, Dell Federal, Eaton, Carahsoft, Duos Edge AI, Bridgepointe Technologies, 10X Capital, and Netceed, bringing together expertise across advanced building materials, edge AI, connectivity, and technology infrastructure to create more integrated solutions for customers. The new headquarters is the latest step in a broader expansion strategy: Northstar is evaluating an additional facility of similar size in the same industrial park, potentially acquiring the space by the end of the year, and will maintain manufacturing operations in Bonita Springs. It is also assessing further U.S. expansion in the Northeast, including the Atlantic City, New Jersey area, and in Texas over the next year.
