Krolmap Plans 150MW Data Center Campus in Aragón, Spain

By: IDCNOVARegion: Europe
Civil engineering firm Krolmap has announced plans to develop a technology campus with a capacity of up to 150MW in the Aragón region of Spain, marking one of the largest data center projects disclosed in the area to date. The initiative underscores Aragón’s growing ambition to become a key hub in Europe’s rapidly expanding digital infrastructure market.

Krolmap recently acquired 20,000 square meters (approximately 215,280 square feet) of land in the Villanueva de Gállego district of Zaragoza, though full details of the project have not yet been released. The development is expected to include on-site power generation, positioning the campus to support high-density workloads, particularly for artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and high-performance computing services.

While the project remains in its early stages, it joins a wave of recent announcements as Aragón consolidates its position in one of Europe’s fastest-growing markets for digital infrastructure. The region has attracted significant investment from hyperscale operators, colocation providers, and specialized investors in recent months, driven by surging demand for AI and cloud services. Krolmap’s entry into the sector reflects the broader momentum as the ecosystem continues to expand.
