Infrastructure investment platform InfraTech is set to deploy approximately $2.7 billion to develop a large-scale data center campus spanning more than 5,000 acres in Carson County, Texas, near Amarillo. The project represents one of the largest single-site digital infrastructure commitments in the region, underscoring the continued surge in hyperscale capacity demand across the United States.
The investment will be structured alongside a consortium of leading institutional investors, with a major hyperscaler expected to serve as an anchor tenant. According to InfraTech, the counterparty, anchor tenant, and co-investors remain undisclosed until the transaction is completed, with further details anticipated at that time.
As part of the broader initiative, InfraTech will also fund expanded fiber optic cable manufacturing capacity, including new production lines developed with a major global manufacturing partner. The move is designed to support the fiber requirements of the data center platform as well as other large-scale digital infrastructure projects, addressing a critical bottleneck in network deployment as AI and cloud workloads continue to expand.
