Foxconn subsidiary Visionbay.ai launches 5MW Nvidia-powered AI cluster in Taiwan

Visionbay.ai, a subsidiary of Foxconn (also known as Hon Hai Technology Group), has launched a 5MW AI cluster in Taiwan, powered by Nvidia HGX B300 systems and purpose-built for large-scale AI training and inference workloads. The company said that more than 90 percent of the cluster's capacity is already in use, describing the deployment as the "largest deployment of its kind nationwide."

The launch marks a significant step for Foxconn's dedicated supercomputing and cloud-AI unit, which was established in November 2025 to focus on high-performance computing and AI infrastructure services. While the company did not disclose the exact location of the cluster, Visionbay.ai said it operates its data center "to Tier III-class standards," delivering "Day-1 operational readiness, ensuring large-scale GPU clusters can be continuously managed, optimized, and delivered as an enterprise service."

The rapid uptake of capacity underscores the strong demand for AI compute in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly for enterprises seeking ready-to-use GPU infrastructure without the operational overhead of building and managing their own facilities. By offering the cluster as a managed enterprise service, Visionbay.ai aims to lower the barrier for organizations to deploy AI models at scale, from training to inference.

Looking ahead, Visionbay.ai said it plans to continue expanding its AI infrastructure footprint across the Asia-Pacific region, with deployments based on both Nvidia Blackwell and Nvidia Vera Rubin architectures. The company also announced in late July that it is collaborating with IBM to jointly develop an AI platform and accelerate enterprise AI adoption across Asia Pacific, signaling a broader push beyond raw infrastructure into the AI software and services layer.

The launch comes at a time when GPU supply remains constrained globally and enterprises are increasingly turning to third-party providers to access cutting-edge AI hardware. Analysts note that the combination of high utilization rates and planned multi-generational GPU deployments positions Visionbay.ai as a potentially significant player in the regional AI infrastructure market, though competition from established cloud providers and specialized AI startups remains intense.
