Duos Edge AI, a subsidiary of rail technology firm Duos Technologies, has entered into a five-year agreement with an undisclosed investment-grade hyperscaler to deliver 10MW of capacity from its data center campus in Columbus, Georgia. The deal is valued at more than $111 million over the contract term, with service expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.
This agreement effectively doubles the campus’s contracted capacity from 10MW to 20MW, following a separate deal earlier this month in which Duos committed 2MW of capacity to neocloud provider Nistar. The company also announced the completion of a $55 million capital raise to support the acquisition of the Columbus facility, signaling strong investor confidence in its expansion strategy.
Launched in 2024, Duos Edge AI has been deploying edge computing pods in rural locations across Texas, as well as sites in Westchester, Illinois, and Jacksonville, Florida. Each pod offers 15 racks and 300kW of capacity, and the company claims they can be deployed in as little as 90 days. Duos is also developing a higher-density container solution capable of delivering 1 to 2.5MW per unit.
According to the company’s most recent presentation, Duos Edge AI aims to have approximately 65 pods and 20MW of total capacity deployed by the end of 2026, with a longer-term target of 250 pods and 60MW of capacity by 2028. The Columbus campus will play a central role in achieving these goals, as the company continues to address growing demand for edge and distributed data center infrastructure in North America.
