DIMAAG has entered into a partnership with Toshiba to develop battery storage solutions tailored for AI data centres, with PowerSecure — a subsidiary of Southern Company — set to supply the backup power solution for a Moses Lake data centre in the United States. The collaboration underscores the growing urgency among data centre operators to secure reliable, scalable energy infrastructure capable of supporting the intense power demands of artificial intelligence workloads.

The Moses Lake facility represents one of a growing wave of AI-oriented data centre projects across North America that require backup power systems far beyond the capacity of conventional installations. AI training and inference workloads can draw power at levels that fluctuate dramatically, making both grid stability and on-site energy resilience critical design considerations. The partnership between DIMAAG and Toshiba aims to address these challenges by combining advanced battery storage technology with proven backup power delivery systems.
