The QRO Campus will be located near Querétaro International Airport and is designed to accommodate six buildings, each with an IT load capacity of 48 MW, bringing the total projected IT load to 288 MW. The facility will also feature an on-site electrical substation and a connection to a 400-kilovolt transmission line to meet the data center's power requirements.
CloudHQ reaffirmed its commitment to investing in Querétaro, highlighting the certainty the state offers for the development of large-scale projects. Executives reported that construction is progressing according to schedule and briefed state authorities on the status of the different project phases. Querétaro's strategic location between the United States and Central America, combined with the region's growing technological infrastructure, has strengthened its appeal as a destination for this type of investment.
The expansion underscores the accelerating race among hyperscale and wholesale developers to secure power capacity in Latin America, where proximity to U.S. markets and rising customer demand are driving large-scale campus buildouts. CloudHQ's presence in the state will expand available digital infrastructure to meet customer demand and support the growth of their digital operations.
