AI chip design startup ChipAgents has raised an additional $60 million in an expanded Series A funding round, just six months after closing its initial Series A. The new capital brings the company's total funding to $134 million, positioning it to scale customer deployments and expand its engineering and go-to-market teams as demand for autonomous AI-driven chip design tools accelerates.
The expanded round includes new investor B Capital, joining existing backers Bessemer Venture Partners, Micron, MediaTek, and Ericsson, all of whom participated in the original October 2025 raise. The company said the fresh funds will be used to support its next phase of expansion, including scaling customer deployments, growing its workforce, and accelerating platform rollouts across the semiconductor industry.
Founded in 2024 and headquartered in Santa Clara, California, ChipAgents leverages agentic AI to streamline RTL code verification, debugging, and design optimization. According to the startup, customers using its platform have achieved 80 percent higher productivity in verification compared to standard industry practices. The company also reported a dramatic 6,377 percent increase in monthly platform usage during the first half of 2025, underscoring rapid market adoption.
To date, more than 120 semiconductor companies, including major players like MediaTek and Micron, have deployed ChipAgents' platform. The startup's growth reflects a broader industry shift toward autonomous engineering agents that can handle complex design tasks with minimal human intervention.

The investment comes at a time when chip designers are grappling with rising design complexity and shrinking product cycles, making AI-assisted verification and optimization tools increasingly critical. By expanding its financial runway, ChipAgents aims to capture a larger share of the growing market for AI-native semiconductor design solutions, potentially reshaping how chipmakers approach verification and design workflows.
