Dec 10,2019/IDCNOVA news:China’s Zhangjiakou City signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the remote-sensing and digital earth institue of Chinese Academy of Sciences(CSA),both sides will construct a academician workstation on space big data(hereinafter referred to as this station).
This station will be built up,relying on the space big data institute,which consists of radar SERs lab and digital Zhangjiakou lab,etc.CSA academician Guo Huadong and his team will preside this station.As the renowned space earth IT expert,Guo Huadong and his team include 9 doctors majoring in space data processing and 4 masters majoring in big data infrastructure building as well as 4 masters majoring in space data processing.“Zhangjiakou got world’s attention due to Winter Olympics in 2022,and it’s owning huge development potential.CSA remote-sensing and digital earth institute will grasp the chance of establishing this station to conduct cooperation with Zhangjiakou in larger scope,wider field and deeper level.”Guo said.
Wu Weidong,mayor of Zhangjiakou City mentioned that,the comprehensive experimental site of synthetic aperture radar remote-sensing cooperated between Zhangjiakou and the remote-sensing and digital earth institute of CSA had become demonstration platforms of research achievement conversion,relevant scientific experiment,synergetic development and international cooperation.That the signing of this station opened a new cooperative mode between R&D institution and government,thus Zhangjiakou will forge a digital Zhangjiakou and digital China together with CSA.
It’s reported that this station occupying 3,500 square meters,formed up by comprehensive remote-sensing experimental center and remote-sensing information center,etc.
Last March in 2018,the Zhangjiangkou Municipal Government officially issued its Zhangjiakou Big Data Industry Development Planning and the Implementation Guidelines to Push Big Data Industry Development of Zhangjiakou,completely hail the endeavour to forge the data cluster and set up a“Big Data Bashang Plateau of China”.According to the planning,by 2020,Zhangjiakou will complete more than 5 big data industrial clusters,with 100 billion yuan of revenue of big data and relevant industries,thus big data industry will become a pivot for the new cycle of economic growth of Zhangjiakou.
