Guiyang Gui'an is the core area of Guizhou, China's first comprehensive national big data pilot zone. WU Hongchun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Guiyang Big Data Development Administration, told China News Service that in 2021, the main industrial indicators of Guiyang’s big data industry will maintain high growth, and key enterprises will continue to develop and grow. Hundreds of billions of industrial clusters lead the development of digital industrialization into the fast lane.
The data center and related industries have invested a total of 12.137 billion yuan , and 26,500 racks have been built. In fact, there are 145,300 electrical servers, which can host 314,500 servers. At the same time, the software and information technology service industry in Gui'an, Guiyang maintained a vigorous development momentum. From January to July, 5 million caliber software business revenue reached 17.33 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 52.58% , which achieved 72.2% of the annual target and the absolute value ranks first in Guizhou Province. The operating income of the Internet and related, software and information technology service industries above designated size reached 13.79 billion yuan, an increase of 115.2% year-on-year, and there were 7 newly-added enterprises above designated size.
In an interview, WANG Zhu, a member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Gui'an New Area Industry Development Bureau, said that Gui'an New Area will focus on building a national hub node for China's computing power network, through the establishment of a "Eastern Data and Western Calculation" network hub, The key computing hub of "Eastern Data and Western Calculation" and the construction of "Eastern Data and Western Calculation" national important data infrastructure will further highlight the effect of industrial agglomeration and promote the high-quality development of the digital economy.
Up to now, Guiyang, Gui'an has achieved direct network connection with 17 cities in China. Guiyang, Gui'an will actively build China's national computing hub for the three major operators, Internet business, national e-government, energy and other fields to provide high-quality real-time computing power for Hong Kong, Macau, and the Greater Bay Area.
