From May 17 to 27, the International Telecommunication Union’s Telecommunication Standardization Bureau Study Group 20 (ITU-T SG20) held a plenary meeting with representatives and technical experts from more than 40 countries including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Russia, Japan, and South Korea. At this meeting, the international standard "Maturity model of digital supply chain" jointly guided by the Information Technology Development Department and the Science and Technology Department was formally established. .
This standard is the first international standard in the digital supply chain field established by ITU. It aims to clarify the digital supply chain reference architecture and provide a set of digital supply chain maturity models to guide enterprises to understand the digital supply chain by means of maturity evaluation. It will guide enterprise understand the overall level of digital supply chain, the identification of weak links, and the clear improvement journey. It will provide a scientific guide for manufacturing enterprises to gradually improve their digital supply chain management capabilities, which is of great significance for accelerating the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry. The successful establishment of this international standard is an important milestone for my country to share the practical results of my country's digital supply chain with countries around the world, and to contribute to the digital supply chain in China.
In the next step, the Information Technology Development Department of MIIT will work with relevant departments to promote the industrial practice and international communication of the digital supply chain, develop and generalize the digital supply chain standards, and give full play to the role of the digital supply chain to support high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.
