20,000 cabinets to install within 18 months
This data center to be occupies 172,500 square meters of floor space and holds 20,000 cabinet.It’s regarded as the further expansion and preliminary market move for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Integration initiative for Sinnet according to the outsource.
According to the announcement,Sinnet officially singed the cooperation agreement with a local company based in Yanjiao Town on March 11,2019 after approval of the Board on March 6,2019.it’s revealed that,the data center site will be started for construction within 8 months to complete for verification and acceptance within 18 months.
Besides this project,Sinnet already completed the first stage of another cloud computing data center in Yanjiao Town before,occupying around 32,700 square meters with 3,500 cabinets.Modular section applied and centered for data center machine room,this site introduced customized type to design 10kVA cabinet with 2N configuration as per clients’demand as well as adoption of cutting edge like chill water system,as high as 100G of BGP total output bandwidth,etc.
Sinnet to expand under tight policy
In September 2018,Beijing issued a ban for newly-built or expansion of data centers except those cloud computing with PUE lower than 1.4.
With the tight restriction and rising demand continually,the surrounding areas of Beijing is attracting more and more investments,thus Sinnet decides to set up a new site neighbouring Beijing for the future market.
The pretty performance backs Sinnet for the expansion too.In January 2019,Sinnet released its revenue report 2018,which showed a overall steadily growing performance both in the two major businesses of cloud computing and data center.
In 2018,the revenue of Sinnet reached by 6.06 billion yuan,increasing 48.8% than last year.The operating profit amounted by 795 million yuan,growing 57.7%compared with the previous year.The earnings of cloud computing and related services increased around 50%,accounting for over 70%of the total earnings in 2018.
In the end of March 2019,Sinnet also released its estimate for the first quarter’s performance of 2019,the profit of Q1 2019 is estimated to be 180 million to 210 million yuan,up 30.43%to 52.2%than last year.In addition,it’s estimated that Sinnet will expand its volume in data center market in terms of business scope and the cloud computing part will continue to grow steadily.
