Company partners with Indian GPU cloud firm Neysa Networks.
NTT is planning to develop a new data center campus in Hyderabad, India.
NTT Data, cloud platform company Neysa Networks, and the Telangana government last week signed an agreement to establish an AI data center cluster in Hyderabad with an investment of Rs 10,500 crore ($1.2bn).The planned 400MW cluster will reportedly host the country’s most powerful AI supercomputing infrastructure with 25,000 GPUs.
“Telangana offers policy stability, strategic location advantages, reliable and high-quality electric power, skilled talent, and quick clearances through our single-window system to foster critical AI infrastructure and make the state a leader in AI-related digital services,” said Telangana chief minister, A Revanth Reddy, said on X.
Mumbai-based Neysa provides access to GPUs, and has raised around $50 million to date. It claims to offer access to Nvidia H100s and L40s, but hasn’t shared where its infrastructure is hosted. Many of the company’s leadership team were previously at NTT/Netmagic.
“At Neysa, we focus on making sophisticated AI technology accessible, affordable, and actionable for all organizations, fostering innovation and growth,” Neysa added on LinkedIn. “We are committed to supporting Telangana's technology ecosystem development and playing our part in making impactful AI tools widely available.”
After investing in the startup via NTTVC, NTT and Neysa announced a cloud partnership in India last year.
NTT has more than 18 data centers in operation or development across India, totaling more than 265MW across Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, and Bengaluru.
Other operators in Hyderabad include CtrlS, Nxtra, Microsoft, Amazon, STT GDC, Pi, CapitaLand, and WebWerks/Iron Mountain.
