Tencent Cloud announced today its expansion into Osaka with a new availability zone, its third in Japan. Together with two existing zones in Tokyo, this addition will bolster Tencent Cloud’s global service network, now spanning 21 regions and 56 availability zones worldwide. The company will also open a new office in Osaka to support local operations.
Tencent Cloud signed new collaboration agreements with Japanese leaders including Tabelog, Vector, forGIFT, and Daiwa Tsushin, further expanding its ecosystem.
Liu Jun, Head of Tencent Cloud Japan, stated: “Five consecutive years of high growth in Japan reflect the trust of our partners and customers. We will continue enhancing our services, deepening enterprise collaboration, and empowering businesses with transformative cloud, AI, media, and fintech solutions.”
Since entering the Japanese market in 2019 (per IT World), Tencent Cloud has provided one-stop cloud services to local enterprises.
In February, Tencent Cloud revealed plans to build its first Middle East data center in Saudi Arabia, backed by a $150 million (≈¥1.098 billion) investment over coming years to drive digital innovation in the region.
