BluSky AI Inc. has launched to offer modular data center solutions to meet the demand for AI.
The company announced its "transformation" into "new operations" as a modular data center company this week. The company was previously known as Inception Mining and focused on precious metals including gold.The company aims to offer prefabricated modular data centers designed for quick assembly and integration that can be scaled up as necessary.
Trent D’Ambrosio, CEO of BluSky AI, said: “Artificial intelligence is fueling an extraordinary surge in compute power demands. BluSky AI is meeting the AI compute challenges with modular, scalable, and energy-efficient data center solutions."

No details about BluSky's modular offering have been provided, though the company said it plans to scale across multiple sites and deliver megawatts of capacity ranging from 1MW to 60MW per site across the US.

The company is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. Its CEO, Trent D’Ambrosio, does not currently list BluSky AI in his experience on LinkedIn, instead listing his role as CEO of RackScale since July 2024, CEO of Digital Asset Medium LLC since March 2022, and CEO of Inception Mining since 2012.
OTCPink-listed BluSky was founded in 2007 as Inception Mining. until recently it operated the Clavo Rico gold mine in Hondorus, which it is divesting to Mother Lode Mining.
D'Ambrosio's LinkedIn noted that Inception Mining's operations primarily focused on the Clavo Rico gold mine in Hondorus, which he said have a capacity to process 1,000 tons of ore per day. It is unclear whether the company will continue any mining operations.
In December 2024, RackScale announced a partnership with Energy Vault to deliver 2GW of power to RackScale data center sites via Energy Vault's B-Next hyperscale battery energy storage system. Construction is planned to begin in 2026.
