STT GDC Philippines Opens Upgraded Data Center in Makati

ST Telemedia Global Data Centers (STT GDC) Philippines has announced the opening of an upgraded data center facility in Makati City, further bolstering its capacity and capabilities to meet the growing demand for data storage and processing in the country.

Data Hall F of STT Makati, formerly known as Globe MK2 Data Center, has been launched following extensive renovations and expansion projects. The facility now boasts a total IT load capacity of over 5 MW, enabling it to accommodate a wider range of clients and their data-intensive applications.

“Our mission is to enable our digital future not only in the Philippines, but across the world,” said Carlo Malana, president and chief executive of STT GDC Philippines. “We don’t just articulate our vision, we ensure that our partners and customers can count on us to execute with precision and reliability.”

The expansion of STT GDC Philippines is part of a broader strategy to position the country as a preferred location for hyperscalers in Southeast Asia.

In addition to the Makati expansion, STT GDC Philippines is also making significant

progress on the construction of two other data center facilities: STT Fairview and STT Cavite 2. Both projects are expected to be completed by 2025 and will significantly increase the company’s overall capacity in the Philippines.
