Singtel and Vonage partner up to accelerate innovation

This partnership allows Vonage API platform to incorporate Paragon APIs to capitalise on the key capabilities of their networks and edge.

Singtel has signed a new partnership with cloud communications specialist Vonage to accelerate enterprise and telco innovation via Paragon, the telco’s one-stop orchestration platform.

Singtel Paragon enables enterprises to connect with the 5G network and securely deploy their edge computing applications and services quickly on the telco’s infrastructure, which reduces time-to-market and shortens the innovation curve.

This partnership allows Vonage API platform to incorporate Paragon APIs to capitalise on the key capabilities of their networks and edge such as network slicing, multi-cloud management, connectivity management, edge computing and advanced network services.

As such, enterprises, telcos and developers can access a global ecosystem of rich communications, network and edge APIs that will seamlessly provide optimised, secure, and engaging customer experiences.

Paragon-enabled telcos from Singapore, Thailand, Spain, Taiwan and Indonesia can combine APIs to create a globally unified telco and edge API library. This allows global independent software vendors (ISVs), enterprises and developers to deliver digital services at greater speed and scale over hybrid networks, hybrid edge and public cloud infrastructures across multiple markets.

“Through this partnership with Vonage, enterprises and developers can tap into federated APIs and collaborate with Paragon-enabled telcos to jointly develop and seamlessly deploy applications into more countries, without needing to repeatedly adapt or change their applications for different markets,” Singtel’s Digital InfraCo CEO Bill Chang said.

According to Chang, this streamlined approach enables telcos and enterprises to focus on growth and innovation and offers vast opportunities for their ISVs and partners to expand services delivery into more countries with greater ease, speed and scale.

“By combining Vonage’s API platform, Ericsson’s 5G network capabilities and Singtel’s Paragon platform, we are paving the way for developers to pioneer new solutions for enterprises to reimagine their business, improve customer experiences and create new communications and engagement capabilities,” Vonage CEO and Ericsson head of business area global communications platform Niklas Heuveldop said.

Vonage APIs will be made available in the Paragon platform marketplace, Singtel’s app store for multi-network, multi-cloud enterprise solutions. Singtel also plans to make industry standards network and edge APIs available to developers through the Paragon and Vonage API platforms, driving rapid enterprise application development across multiple markets.
