The data center is an important node of the country's strategy of East Data and West Computing, and is currently the largest one-time construction project of China Unicom, including China Unicom's largest single data center, which can meet the needs of future digital transformation, and the data service needs of financial, government, and high-tech enterprises international computing power center.
YANG Kai, head of the third branch of the China Construction Eighth Bureau General Contracting Company, introduced that the project has high standards, tight schedules and complex working conditions, at most 1,200 workers will be required to work together.
For the builders, it is necessary to self-pressurize and improve the management goals to ensure that the data center project meets the quality standards and project filing standards stipulated in the national construction acceptance specifications, and the one-time acceptance is qualified, with a pass rate of 100%, and strives to obtain Shanghai High-Quality Structure Award and Magnolia Award.
China Unicom invested nearly 10 billion yuan to build this international benchmark cloud data center with "advanced technology, green energy saving, efficient operation, safety and reliability". It is located in Nicheng Town, Lingang Special Area in Shanghai covering an area of 85 acres with 23,600 square meters underground, 113,100 square meters above ground and construction area of 136,700㎡, including data centers, complex buildings, substations, oil-generating platforms, etc., It is planned to be completed and delivered in the first half of next year.
