Recently, the Bank of Communications signed two data center projects within one day, which are located in Gui'an New District and Helinger respectively, with a total investment of 10 billion yuan and a construction scale of 400,000 servers.
On December 23, Gui'an New District Management Committee and Bank of Communications held a signing ceremony for the Gui'an data center project.
The Gui’an data center project of the Bank of Communications is located on the southeast side of Jiaofukang North Road, Xing’an Avenue, Machang Science and Technology New City, Gui’an New District. The planned land area is about 279 acres, and the planned investment is about 5 billion yuan. The project adopts the "overall planning, phased implementation" model. There are more than 10,000 planned racks and more than 200,000 powered-on servers.
As a national hub node and data center cluster of the "East Data and West Computing" project, Gui'an New District has attracted a number of bank data centers to land in recent years, including the Gui'an Data Center of the People's Bank of China, which will start construction in 2021, and the Industrial Bank Data Center signed in August 2022.
On December 23, Hohhot City and Helinger New District held signing ceremonies with the Bank of Communications respectively, and the Bank of Communications data center project officially landed in the "China Financial Cloud Valley" of Linger New District.
The Bank of Communications data center project covers an area of about 326 acres, with a total investment of about 5 billion yuan. The computer room adopts a relatively independent multi-building model to form a redundant computer room layout in the park to meet the needs of high-reliability system construction. After the completion of the preliminary master plan, it will meet the installed capacity of more than 200,000 servers. The project is planned to be constructed in three phases, with an investment of about 1.5 billion yuan in the first phase to build 2 machine room buildings, 1 substation building, 1 power building, 1 office building and 1 ancillary building.
As a national hub node and data center cluster of the "East Data and West Computing" project, Helinger New District currently realizes "10ms network delay in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, 28ms network delay in Shanghai, and 42ms network delay in Guangzhou". Three super-large financial data centers that have landed before are under construction, including Bank of China Financial Data Center, Agricultural Bank of China Inner Mongolia Data Center, China Construction Bank and Ringer New Area Data Center.
Since the beginning of this year, many banks have started the landing and construction of new data centers. The IDCNOVA learned that the Fintech Center of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank will most likely also land in Helinger.
