Tencent Group's Ultra-large-scale Data Center in North China Officially Opened in the Tianjin High-tech Zone|Idcnova-Media|the gateway to China data center market

On August 26, Tencent Tianjin High-tech Cloud Data Center, a new infrastructure project in North China of Tencent Group, was officially opened in Bolong Lake Science and Technology Park of High-tech Zone. LI Qiang, Vice President of Tencent Group and President of Government and Enterprise Affairs, ZHANG Guihua, Deputy Head of Binhai New Area, XIA Qinglin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Management Committee of the High-tech Zone, and ZOU Xianneng, General Manager of the Network Platform Department and Data Center Platform Department of Tencent Group jointly inaugurated the park.

LI Qiang said in his speech that Tencent's Tianjin High-tech Cloud Data Center is a super-large-scale data center built in North China by Tencent Group under the strategic background of "new infrastructure" and "Eastern Data and Western Computing". The data center is at the forefront of the industry in terms of construction mode, green and low carbon, and intelligent operation and maintenance, and will launch a full range of Tencent Cloud products and services such as cloud computing, big data, AI, blockchain, and the IoT to serve the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the entire North China region.

XIA Qinglin said in his speech that over the years, Tencent Group has continued to increase its industrial layout and project investment in the high-tech zone. As one of Tencent's eight national data centers, Tencent Tianjin High-tech Cloud Data Center can not only meet the needs of local enterprises in terms of computing power and data storage localization, but also directly drive the development of cloud service equipment vendors and cloud service providers.

It is understood that Tencent Tianjin High-tech Cloud Data Center is located in Bolong Lake Science and Technology Park, High-tech Zone, with a total investment of 10 billion yuan, a total rack size of 15,000 racks, and a total server capacity of 300,000 units. The project applies T-block technology, the fourth-generation data center technology developed by Tencent, to achieve rapid and standardized product delivery. In terms of green energy saving, with the technical advantages that Tencent has accumulated over the years, such as indirect evaporative cooling, fluorine pump natural cooling, frequency conversion technology, airflow optimization, AI optimization, and high-voltage direct current, it can save about 100 million kWh of electricity a year compared to conventional data centers.

Over the years, the high-tech zone has adhered to the concept of "Party Building Leading and Co-creation", taking the Xinchuang industry as the first industry, and concentrating on building "China's Xinchuang Valley".
