IDC Quan, China Data Center Media, was informed that the second phase of the Big Data Industrial Park in Lanzhou New District is topping out at the end of April, 2022, and the third phase of the industrial park is being actively planned. The third phase has completed the feasibility study and other preliminary bidding work.
At present, the first phase of Lanzhou New Area Big Data Industrial Park No 1 IDC has been completed and put into operation, which can accommodate more than 1,200 cabinets. No 2 IDC is expected to be completed and put into operation in June 2022, and the first phase can accommodate a total of 5,400 cabinets. The second phase of the industrial park has a total construction area of 146,000 square meters and an underground area of 27,000 square meters. The main body was topping out on April 29, 2022. The main construction content of the second phase is 2 data room, one substation of 110KVA and supporting facilities and other buildings. After completion, the total installed capacity will reach 13,000 cabinets, and it is expected to be fully completed by the end of 2022.
At the same time when the second phase was topping out, two data room construction projects in the industrial park were signed, and Chaoxun Communications (超讯通讯) through a third party subcontract, signed the second-phase project power system and AHU cooling system equipment and materials procurement agreement and the second-phase No 3 data room equipment procurement contract , the total amount is about 876 million yuan. According to the procurement contract, the procurement, installation, commissioning, acceptance, trial operation and warranty of the equipment and related supporting equipment and facilities required for the second phase No 3 data room project will be provided by Chaoxun Communication (超讯通讯).
Gansu Province, where Lanzhou New Area is located, is one of the eight hub nodes of the national integrated computing power network of the national “East Data and West Computing” project. According to the "Guidelines for the Construction of Data Centers in Gansu Province" issued by the Gansu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the overall layout of the data center will be based on the structure of "one core, two wings and six centers", forming Lanzhou as the core, Qingyang and Jiuquan as the two wings, Jinchang, Zhangye, Wuwei, Tianshui, Baiyin, and Longnan are the data center clusters of the six centers.
